Double lives

The Lovely lilly of after prufrock recommended the movie la double vie de veronique to me. Two women, one living in poland and one in france, look very much like each other (played by the same actress). Their traits and faiths entwine in surreal ways throughout the film.

In the movie those two lives spiral down to existensial questions but to get to there you must take a trip down a road which is sensual, mystical and frightening at times. Strange letters arrive, decisions are to be made and a puppet maker are there to fall in love with.
